To win at Widnes is a good result anyway but to win the week before the cup final and with the team you put out is fantastic.

Just hope you have a cup hangover when we play you

Fantastic result. With half our team out as well!! That has pretty much secured our Super league status now, a win against Wakefield and Sheffield is probably going to put us in the top two.
Rest easy now, there's only a small matter of a challenge cup final to deal with now. ;-). Let's bring it on and have a week that we all can enjoy since 1986.

Toughest fixture of the 8s on paper and we won it while resting a handful - great result.

Dire game, but a fabulous result under the circumstances. 2 good tries chalked off too both looked fine to me. Most importantly, no injuries, so a full squad apart from Campese to select from. Chester has some tough decisions to make in the pack & full back slots.

We have plenty to spare now going into the last 4 games. We could lose a couple and still finish top 3, but I can't see that with the 3 toughest all being at Craven Park.

May as well push on for a league & cup double now.

Should win our home games, Salford seem to be on self destruct and Wakey are nowt special. The other two games against Championship clubs should be wins. Lets hope complacency doesn't set in. I reckon if we stay injury free and don't lose heart if we lose next week, we should be safe. Be nice to win all 7 though.

Excellent victory! That kind of game earlier in the season would have been 1 12-18pt loss but having a point to prove RE selection for next week seemed to have been sufficient motivation for the lads who played today.

The defence was excellent today in particular, Widnes are nobodies fools and had plenty of attacks at our line, especially in the second half. Great work by the rovers today :D

CC needs to adopt the same plan next week. Tell the Wembley team that those who perform will be picked for the Wakefield game.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas

Very, very good professional performance in a pretty awful game today.

Widnes were terrible, we played the conditions better and managed the game much in part to Matty Marsh's excellent kicking game.

I agree that Allgood has just got himself a Wembley shirt, Ollett and Donaldson will probably miss out but both were hugely committed in defence today.

Very much enjoyed the community singing at the end, the connection between players and fans is a joy. ManTomato is having the time of his life.

No idea why we signed Jism, on current form if everyone was fit he's fifth choice in the halves.
