I don't know one fan who actually thought we would win last night? Hopeful yes but that's about as far as it went.Watched it back on sky and we played well, just the size and speed we didn't handle in first 20 of 2nd half but weathered that and were still in a position to get a result at back end .looking forward to watching other 2 tv games then the draw. More positive than negative for us and I feel a little happier than I did in regards middle8s especially if the 2 or 3 new faces materialise

Re-read the posts from Gallanteer, Mox & BF and tell me no bitterness there.

Your lot played really well last night and deserve a lot of plaudits yet some of your fans want to focus on spouting cr@p about salary caps, how Hicks shafted you etc instead of focusing on the positives.

Btw, someone posted something about Josh Jones being along the lines of "a dirty grub". Never had a disciplinary issue with us so wondered where this came from as he's always just been a really hard working, tough grafter in a Salford shirt.

My post was a reaction to that be11end who came on here. I'm not one for getting wound up on a forum and stating bitter facts to support an argument but that guy spouts some bull, and feel free to check my post history back to 2006 for clarification of this.

It says a lot about a set fans when the performance is ignored in favour of 'Cheating the cap', 'No fans', 'Mk is a bell-end'. Quite pathetic.

Think there is a general lack of perspective from posters on this thread.

Salford are riding high in SL and are having an impressive season thus far. KR are rebuilding after a crushing defeat in MPG. Comments comparing the two teams from a comparable standing are frankly diluded. It is well documented that KR are spending well below cap, I have no idea what Salford are spending (I don't really care). What is known is that Salford squad is largely the same as last season so they have stability to build from and this shows in SL standings. KR's on the other hand has seen wholesale changes and is made up of largely young players with a smattering of old experienced heads. Comments regarding Salfords attendances are fact, no hiding the point but if MK is happy to keep spending good money after bad thats up to him. MK's character will always be questioned when he is so active in social media and happy to engage in publicity stunts (celebrations with cheque at Craven Park, now that was pathetic to use your phrase). Accusations about salary caps breachs are inevitable, once an entity has been branded and proved to be a cheat it very hard to shake that off, even if there is no recent or new evidence.

Best team won on the night. No complaints form this supporter, Ref was fine missed a few things for both teams. Plenty of positives from KR perspective and very very unlikely that we will play Salford in middle 8's. Number 1 priority for KR this season is promotion and to test progress against two SL teams is good gauge to continue building from.

Most Rovers fans went into the game hoping for a respectable defeat with no injuries. We at least managed the respectable part. In spells Salford looked awesome with their powerful runners and interplay and it's easy to see why they are in the top four of S/L. I thought we kept our shape, but we're maybe a bit guilty of forcing play too early on in the second half that led to our downfall. No qualms about the game or result, and people moaning about Hicks just need to compare him to mickey mousekalis!

I cannot argue with anything you have said, excellent post, unfortunately some fans on other teams seem to mock us regarding our support numbers (that of us exaggerating) , like you said these numbers are a fact.

First accept sadness. Realise that without losing 70% of the time, winning wouldn't be such a relief.

Re: Salford : Sat May 13, 2017 11:45 am
Well done last night I thought you were excellent. The most encouraging aspect from your perspective is how you kept going when the momentum shifted. I don't want to be drawn into any unnecessary mud slinging. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Yes it was. Our game management was excellent. We had little opportunity to attack and badly missed Quinlan when we did.
You have a good side and your best chance of making the top 4.
If Carney can be bothered to play and contribute you may win something.
My guess he will spend a lot of time with muscle injuries tossing it off.

I thought Rovers looked good last night. I wouldn't want to draw them in cup or middle 8.

I thought the second try from the scrum was excellent. It will be pulled up from now on I'm sure but clever play.
