All joking apart, Dixon has skill and speed but on the basis of defence, he deserves to be dropped. His crap tackle technique is more a desire for self preservation on his part and shows a lack of spine.
Since when did little guys tackle high in RL? He needs to be made to watch Roger Millward videos and how he tackled low around the waist and legs until he gets the message.
Players aren't coached like that nowadays. Old skool tackling was that you hit the player above the hips and then slid down the legs, the old "They can't run without their legs" adage.
Today, players are told to fear the offload at all costs, so they try and wrap the ball, personally, I think players should have the intelligence to do one or the other depending on the scenario, but I realised that's asking a lot.
Too many players focus on the big hit, often, all that's required is to put a firm hand on the opposition and divert them into touch.
We've turned a lot of defence into American football of the nineties, if you watch the NFL know it 's a lot more subtle both in attack and defence, players are much more focused on running good lines and attempting to stop line breaks.
