| What madness has possessed your Chairman to do this? You have decent fans who don't deserve to be treated this way. Feel sorry for you, the one person you don't want when the going gets tough is James Webster

Poching and Hodgson are staying.

| Lets not forget - Webbo was a big reason we got into SL and coached us to the NL Cup Final win when others had written us off. Hes got HKR blood in his veins. Wakey didn't have any money to buy players. We will see.
Peacock's statement definately leads you to think team investment is available and more heads are still to roll.

| Let's be honest Websters job is to steady the ship, if he keeps you in SL, he has done a good job.
Main job for your club in recruitment and retention, some tough decisions are needed particularly with your overseas players, which you don't get value for money or aren't well balanced enough.

| Uninspiring from Rovers. Coaches all stay in place who have overseen the mess so far and Webster comes in for Chester.
Loved Webster as a player. Treated poorly by Rovers at the end. Then how do you describe his tenancy in a similar situation at Wakefield....disaster, catastrophe. Did they manage 3 wins?
Wish him luck but this stinks like the Chester appointment more emotional than sensible.
No point getting McNamara if we're in the championship for 2017.

| Such a shame we had to give up our own youth system and identity and decades and decades of bringing through our own players in order to somehow be able to afford to tempt Jason Netherton to coach a "joint" academy...

| I seem to recall a fair number of Wakefield fans were glad to see the back of Webbo. Yes he had a tight budget but he must have contributed to their woeful performances.
At least he will have the luxury of a decent 17 over the next few weeks.
Personally I'd have left Poching in charge. He managed to galvanise the squad with his open play approach, but now we have a situation where Webbo has to gain the respect and confidence of the squad, which could go either way and lets hope not the Wakey way!

brian smith transformed wakey in a matter of weeks after webster departed. IMO he shouldn't even be coach of the academy, never mind a SL team again.

Having read your posts and contributions on RLFans your opinion doesn't carry much (if any) weight.

Webster was in the main awful during his time in charge of Wakefield. He started fairly brightly in the first 6 or 7 games after Agar's dark days but it went rapidly downhill losing 4 of the last 5 games of the season. Throughout his time in charge we looked a mile off the pace with a complete lack of fight, heart and defensive structure the major issues. Last season after winning the first two games we conceded 40+ in 9 of the next 11 league games and then went out of the cup at home to Leigh, shipping in 36. His head went down way too early and he lost the belief of the players. The best thing that ever happened to us was his resignation, we would have without a doubt gone down with him in charge.
Whether 'coming home' to Hull KR will fit better and lead to better things i'm not sure but i'm surprised that is the direction you have gone given it is only 10 months since he was a disaster with us. Maybe the fact that it only until the end of season will be helpful and he will be able to give the short term lift needed but i have my doubts to be honest. I expected you to go with an experienced head like Noble to guide Poching until the end of the season with McNamara taking the reigns then.
