So because I didn't delete the full stop in error means comments wishing injuries on players are ok does it?
You added or moved the full stop.
The original quote is arguably about preventing injuries to most players by having one fewer player in the game intent on causing them. Personally I’d prefer that Flower and his ilk convert en masse to Buddhism and go to live in Tibet or something like that. Although I’m resigned to Wigan have plenty of young players coming through their ranks who’ll quickly learn the ways of the referee-blind spot maiming tackle.
Wigan will continue being Wigan.
We’re the ones who need to change and while we should never listen to the bs narrative spun by Wigan supporters/apologists, we can, I hope, watch and learn from your team’s ruthlessness and shamelessness. For now, as victims, the best we can do is recognise your attempted gaslighting for what it is.

Enjoy the rest of the season.
You'll note there is a full stop prior to the quote. As I'm using my phone I missed it when deleting the rest of the post.
As I said above, Ben has been suspended three times in his career but let's wish injury on him for a bad tackle. Best hope no Rovers players are banned for foul play eh or you'll have people wishing injury on them too.

By deleting the rest of the post, you changed the context.
It still isn’t very nice, but wishing injury isn’t as bad as causing injury, and we invariably come out of this fixture with an unhappy number of injured players. Our team has been physically dominated in SL for a lot of years, so we have come off badly with injuries in a lot of games. However, fixtures against Wigan have a special place in our hearts because many of us don’t believe it to be just one of those things. We also distrust the disciplinary process, so the number bans Flower has received reinforces that perception rather than changing our view of Wigan. Just because we’re paranoid don’t mean that they’re not out to injure us.
All that said, I wish we had a bit more of a win-at-all-costs and damn the consequences for everybody else attitude. There is a balance to be struck, and I admit that Wigan have a clear-sighted focus, are willing to innovate, to push boundaries in positive as well as negative ways and the nastiness, although it sometimes spills over into self-harm, serves your purposes pretty well.
