We are basically headed for the championship and total disaster, last nights display was pathetic. We have played 3 games we should earmark as possible wins, wakey and cats at home and salford away,in 2 of them we have been thrashed by wakey and salford who had obviously watched the same video and attack the shaw/ heffernan wing,no doubt it will become common knowledge. Our forwards other than masoe and perhaps mulhearn, who has been one of our better players, are not big enough.Atkins and maguire are a decent pairing, but shaw, heffernan and minns are poor defenders, decent going forward. How we improve I dont know without a spending spree, greenwood, kavanagh, jewitt, lee, tickle are journeymen who are not good enough for superleague yet are most of our pack,

In surprised Salter didn't keep his place on last weeks showing certainty tightened up the defence out of the forwards you've named I think Jewitt has been good but god knows what's happened to Greenwood he's been terrible for a season and half don't think much to Lee out of the games we've played Wakefield are strong and not the easybeats they once were Salford aren't as weak as some people predicted after koucash left Leeds were there for the taking and Catalans were poor to me we have played well twice and terrible twice

Widnes Salford Hudds us Frogs and maybe Cas/Wakey/hull could all land in bottom 4.We seem to take a positive step then throw the momentum away? We still have plenty of improvement in us.But a quality half and another Forward with real size and we are about right I'd say?

It’s only early in the season and we are ongoing with recruitment so to and you never no what’s going to happen if it gets to mid season and we’re still like this I’ll worrie but I think Tim will have a few tricks up his sleeve he sees the same as us so he nows exactly what we need

Some people were going on about how good Leigh's recruitment was compared to ours well they've lost 3 out of 4 in the championship so I think it's a bit early to be panicking yet

Tim might be doing the right thing waiting for the right player I no it’s frustrating but if we have money still to spend and a squad that is not far off already i think we will finish 7th then build for next year I think Tim will pull a few more signings in the next month

I know why people are worried and it is no doubt going to be a tough season. But there’s a long way to go yet.
We need to remember the lessons of 2016, but they shouldn’t cast a pall over a new season and a new challenge back in SL.
