Don't care that he's got Hull connections.
His successors didn't do any better at Bradford and his predecessor in the England job did worse.
He's experienced, and has faced adversity before.
On the downside, he's not massively charismatic (his public face at least). If he gets wins, it won't matter, but until then his appointment won't much inspire the fan base.
