George Lawler turning into a cracking player, a West Hull amateur I think.
Taking into account Catalans lost Casty “partly” Bird & Moa for the remainder of the game, this game should have been won, especially with those two big men, missing for a long period, an entertaining game, wish we had more Sunday matches.

I know you're just looking for a bite, but we didn't complain at the real injury. Unfortunately though, Catalan cry wolf too often in this match and virtually every other match when the pressure is on them. In short, they've got previous.

There was a point when we had a roll on and one of there players went down at the PTB so the ref had no choice but to stop the game only for the player to sprint back to the defensive line a minute later

Baffling today in several areas.

The use or should I say misuse of Atkin. McGuire looks out of condition and not firing. Drinkwater OOC. Lunt injured. Lee struggling with his neck. Quinlan out. And yet Atkin can't get a start. He was not happy. There is a real risk of all 3 halves going through the exit door in September which would be really disappointing.

Bench interchange decisions generally poor. Garbutt flogged in the latter stages despite them missing Moa and Bird with Casty and Edwards injured. Share the workload.

That said we were competitive yet again. Top 5 is still very much a realistic aim but I'm concerned that we are giving points away through poor selection choices. We should win at Huddersfield then after Saints we have a fairly easy run through to May.

come off it zook, beat huddersfield,not on that performance as for a easy run well never have one this year , we are in a spot of bother after losing our arguably easiest home game need certain players back sharpish

Catalans without a recognised hooker so Rovers missed a golden opportunity???? Rovers were without 1st choice hooker Lunt and 2nd choice hooker Lee themselves!

Not to mention 5 props unavailable (Jewitt, Scruton, Greenwood, Mulhern, Lannon). Then in the crucial closing stages Masoe & Garbutt go off with head knocks and suddenly any player left standing must play at prop!

I'm making excuses I know and Rovers had a great chance to win the game and were not able to. I accept that. But please if we are playing the 'missing player' card it was a photo finish at hooker and win for Rovers by a length overall!
