You've already beaten them comfortably away and they lost to london last week so I really don;t see what you're all worried about

MIKE SMITH- THE BEST CENTRE HULL HAS EVER MADE!

Re: Million pound game : Sun Sep 25, 2016 3:47 pm
the game will be like the rest of the season" on the day"weve only been beaten up by Catalans early when they were in form and full strength,, drawn with warrington narrow defeats to wigan, hull, etc we could have easily have won these games not a lot to choose between top and bottom on the day, Salford are good on their day but home advantage should see us home reasonably confident

Yeah, that's pretty much exactly my take on it.

We've been floundering about looking for meaningful new direction for about 5 years.
Sort of fell between the stools of being ambitious and pushing on, and being a compact/balanced smaller SL club.

With the appointment of the experienced Sheens to hopefully balance Peacock's idealism and narrow long-term focus, it feels like the 'passivity' of the last few years is coming to an end. Might just be too late, unfortunately. I very much hope not, obviously.

The combination should get Hull Kr moving forward again, but so called mid level teams only seem to be able to move forward up to a certain point, before they plateau and then start declining. Cas are a good example, they have been moving forward and building momentum the last few seasons since powel took over. They are pretty much at the plateau point, but instead of being able to kick on and for example break through and make a grand final appearance they'll tread water and eventually hit abit of a decline. It's incredibly hard for teams to make that breakthrough.

You'd probably be better playing it away from home going on your last 2 televised home games. Too much pressure from the east stand massive?

No pressure from the East Stand yesterday Jakey Boy just stunned silence in the first half as to how crap and half arsed we were. No speed and urgency all round. Couple this with seasoned professionals like Lunt, Campese, Mantellato and Donaldson playing like squidgy headed dicks. Chucking daft passes, needlessly forcing passes, gifting tries, making idiotic decisions, switching off at marker.

We upped the intensity and effort in the second half, the East Stand and the whole crowd appreciated it, got behind the team and nearly got them over the line. In the final analysis, we couldn't finish them off, despite opportunities.

We could repeat same next week. That's my worry. We are currently a team incapable of stringing a ruthless 80 minute performance together, home or away.

Did you notice two of your players (think Peacock and Cockayne, but not sure) put their hands of the ref yesterday after the drop goal?

No, I don't think anybody has mentioned it or tried to draw attention to it on any forum.

got to agree KR fans this is a dead rubber for you Salford have gone they where terrible last week and they haven't really put Batley to the sword today either. I hope you win the super league would be a poorer place with you not in it and Salford up still, you deserve your place you support your team come rain or shine and travel in big numbers putting money in the pockets of all other clubs and creating a great atmosphere from a none bias point of view every neutral should be willing you to win and when you do the super league will breath a sigh of relief good luck and I mean that :thumb:
