Pearson has put us in a far better position than Hudgell has Rovers..second from bottom ,losing to a part time team ,in fighting among players, attendances down, fans threatening a boycott ,little wonder your club is were its at when you still back a chairman who clearly has been the main factor in your clubs fortunes with poor recruitment and soon to have your fourth coach in less then twelve months ..at your forum ask him why he puts gagging orders on everyone he gets shut of .Like to bet he wont get any questions what have not been screened first
While there's some merit in cross-sectional analyses, longtidudinal studies are generally better regarded.
It's not so long ago that Pearson was held in much lower esteem than right now, his rhetoric during his initial beatific period having been shown to be rather hollow. Across nearly five years, he's brought you on a little way at significant expense, and while your team looks excellent this season, there's no guarantee that the success is locked-in, even in just the medium term. Look at Leeds and Hudds, for goodness sake. Would you say Pearson has done a better job than Gary Hetherington or Ken Davy?
Hudgell picked up rovers in the second tier, and has been the driving force behind our ten-year stay in the top flight. Even if it all comes tumbling down now, at least a new generation got to see the club revived and living the dream for a good long while. I don't think we do, and certainly we shouldn't feel any sense of entitlement to greater success than Hudgell has delivered over more than decade, much as this season has been very disappointing even relative to our modest hopes.
