That 2006 side lost the semi without Webster, the always impressive Michael Smith, and a lot of other influential players. Don't kid yourself, that side would give out team right now one hell of a game.
We've payed top money for our overseas players, I don't get why some fans see it 'ok' that we are where we are right now. It's a bloody disgrace to me!
None of us are happy, I just don't see what's to be achieved by being the most outraged.
If what you're saying is that those early teams, the Morgan teams, were more than the sum of those parts then I agree.
We were an over performing team then, and that's why you have a coach and that's what their job is.
Currently, we are an under performing team, but we're a club, not a team (there needs to be a distinction between club and team) that's trying to retain our top flight status whilst hopefully becoming more sustainable, and so we're told that there is a plan.
It might be nice if they told us what the plan is whilst we all shell out for season ticket's.
Many of us have expressed that we couldn't understand why we didn't go out and get a strike back rower and a nasty prop. We all put that down to Chester's recruitment objectives, but he's gone and we're none the wiser as to why that didn't happen or why we're not in the loan market.
I am aware that I've stepped on both sides of the line, it was entirely intentional.
