I'm assuming it's an Xperia? You can pick up a digitizer (screen) and the tools to open the phone up for £20 on eBay as with most models of phones.
AS - What's the fault on your phone that's not rendered it useless?
See you all in the Chat Thread.
I have no idea it went from working to nothing at all when I picked it up earlier.

Most of the time, if it's got battery life, any small software glitches can be fixed by pressing and holding both the home button and the power button until an apple is displayed on the screen, This is like a reboot.
When your phone is up and running, if you double tap the home button, a quick menu will pop up from the bottom and ALL open apps will be displayed, these are all using memory and aren't really needed to be open. They make the device run slow having them all open and can cause crashes. Whilst you have these displayed, if you press and hold one of them they will start to 'wiggle' and you can then close them down. I usually close all of them quite often. Save's battery life noticeably and reduces crashes.

Get it plugged in and on charge, My 3GS went through a stage where it died at 20% battery with no warning and when put on charge, took a few minutes before it even had any power to light up and display that it was charging.

Legend. RIP.
A genuinely funny bloke who I saw play many small venues around Hull. Famed for his love of Altrincham FC and naff cover versions.

I remember him being on Sat morning TV quite a bit when I was younger, didn't really "get" him until I was older. I wonder what happened to the head?
