The only time I was worried at a rugby league game was at the old Hilton park playing for the right to play the plate final in 97. I remember vividly the Leigh fans were like rabid animals. Ripping there old ground (the concrete barriers separating fans) to get at us. Whilst at the same time hurling pints of pi$$ at us. So a two year old offering you out hardly compares.

It used to be shocking going watching any of the hull games in the 80s,had our coach bricked many times but I also remember leigh had their fair share of idiots back then as well and I'm sure other clubs had idiots.But I'd like to think times have changed and plenty of ale being suped plus plenty of banter being thrown about without it going back to the 80s mentality

I remember going their and wining the league and every rovers fan at the end went on the pitch and called for the players to come out and no problem with Leigh fans but the pitch was full red and white all over thats when we had the likes of Broadhurst and Garry prohm

Never had any problems with KR fans & in fact had a good craic with some down at Cardiff for Magic Weekend when it seemed like I was the only Leigh Fan there.



Widnes & Wigan are a completely different matter.

to be honest i think any club has their own minority set of idiots who bring shame on their respective clubs and spoil it for the majority. im just hoping for a good game no trouble and a narrow rovers win IMHO

If Leigh beat just one more SL club they'll get promoted without being in the £1mill game, Rovers need to be at their best. Having said that, the Salford game was our best 80 mins of the season.

We haven't won 2 games in a row all season.



I'd like to think we can put that right on Saturday. Attitude needs to be spot on and a bit of patience wouldn't go amiss.

Ours too! Of course, if we beat you, or Huddersfield, or Leeds (!!) we still have to beat Batley. Batley away was our only league defeat this season, although we only beat them in the last minute at home! It's odd how some teams seem to struggle against certain sides?
