According to Sheens' interview we may have lost Garbutt for next week and Jewitt doesn't sound good. Hopefully Mulhern and Lunt coming back though.

i dare say with 2 or 3 of those players mentioned we would have won buy were beginning to sound like the kick try merchants , the real problem is the 6.7 and 9 ,nothing much happening from there

Good close game and enjoyable to listen to for the neutral. Still think rovers missed a golden opportunity through with les cats not having a recognized hooker. Made them much weaker and rovers really should have taken advantage and the two league points. Still, long season and long way to go yet.

Well done on a fair post. Sky made a lot of Catalans missing Mcillorum but we had no Lunt or Lee. We did however have Atkin who again put us on front foot when on but for some bizarre reason we get 60 minutes of Addy plodding around giving dumb penalties away. Also Sky seem to think Matt Whitley is the new Mal Meninga for some reason?

You mean the bit of time wasting when blood was pouring out of a cut on the guys head and running down his face- and the referee made him get attention a couple of times- that time wasting? Booing a guy with a head injury- classy.

Fair point about Addy. He looks a shadow of the player he was when playing for Scotland in the World Cup. Back then I thought rovers had uncovered a real gem.

He's been decent enough since injury but a hooker he is not. Just can't understand why Atkin doesn't get the majority of game. Atkin plays 60/80 min today we win imo

Re: Catalans game : Sun Mar 17, 2019 7:05 pm
I know all teams have players that ‘play’ for penalties but Cats are the worst I’ve seen so far, and my god how the ref fell for so many. The worst had to be when Langi was on his back after being tackled, nobody on top of him and he starts punching the air and childs blows up!? What was that one about?! I wish we could have Thaler every week as to be fair to him he gets it right 95% of the time.

No excuse for why we lost, just making a point on how most refs just completely destroy a game with penalties that are so often milked. No one has yet beaten the Hastings one at craven park but Langi was pretty good, flapping about every time he’d been tackled. I wish some of our players would use their heads and flap in to thin air too

Amazing insights. I thought Rovers tried their nuts off despite only having 2 props. Disappointed but could/Should have won. We didn't.. I shall console myself by watching Pauli Paulis demolition job of a try from Friday again.
