Neil hudgell has thanked our fans for the fantastic support on friday night and has apologised for the dire performance on the field.He also said if the players had have been as good as the fans they would have won.
He also thanked our fans for showing restraint when the pitch was invaded and avoided what could have developed into a nasty situation.

I was under the impression that as in football it would be. It is something that would need clarifying either way it has the potential to end very badly and is ill advised. Still each to their own suppose it's open season at the kc next year.

I'm ambivalent about this TBH. On the one hand I see nothing wrong with fans celebrating major victories with players, but on the other hand there's always the chance for things to turn nasty if he opposing fans get provoked. In the case of Friday night I haven't seen any reports of violence of public order offences so probably nothing will come of it but on balance I'd have preferred it not to have happened. Too much risk of things flaring up.

Was it really a major victory? If it was at home, last game of the season then maybe. At an away ground (especially a derby) it's nothing more than lighting the blue touch paper. Very lucky there wasn't another 2007.

It was a solid Derby win after losing 2 key players to injury early on, it secured our place in the top 8, and it more-or-less ensured Rovers would be in the middle 8. So while I'd agree it wouldn't normally qualify as a 'major victory' I can see why emotions were on a similar level.

I agree I'd much rather see these sorts of celebrations limited to home games, and I already said there was too much risk for my liking.

Our fans ain't like yours we didn't trounce the pitch when we sealed our place in super league at your place and then when we beat you in the play offs 2 bigger games and results than Fridays

In the unlikely event of a Rovers win, I do worry about this. I'm certainly not going to condone it, as that would make me a massive hypocrite, so lets hope the early kick off will limit the alcohol intake and make people behave themselves. I'm not optimistic (of the result or the consequences).

Bearing in mind what happened in 07 it come as a massive surprise to me that rovers fans didn't come after the hull fans again and all because some idiots couldn't stay in a stand n clap the team
