Maybe? For my part I'm chuffed to have us back in top league again and hope the team surprise me and opposing fans with good solid rugby and we hold our own 1st season back?Don't think any of us expects anything more than mid table and maybe a cup run at best? I find it frustrating that no lessons seemed to have been learnt from the Sandercock/Chester regimes regarding the pack. With only Donno and Scruton to come in (maybe Lawler) Masoe aside we look relatively small again? Sheens knows more than me though so there is the counter argument that we will have to see how it goes and every team seems to have question marks over them
He does. Frankly Avenger is entitled to his opinion but personally I thought it a bit OTT. Far to early to be that confident imo no matter who you support. I'm just as nervous this year as any other tbh I've seen the wheels fall off before.
I don't think it's over the top, I think it's a fair assessment of our capabilities he's said it how it is, the problem is it's sport and things don't always go to plan, there's so much can happen bad refereeing, ill discipline, too many players having an off night, complacency, a team wanting to do well for their first home game back in SL, so your quite right in saying that we've seen the wheels drop off before, too many times unfortunately, I'll just settle for 2 points and no injuries.
I suppose it shows there's real lack of quality fullbacks around in SL if Grix still manages to get a game at a top8 club. He's a walking calamity.
Wakey (on paper) should be top8, maybe even sneak top4, I'm impressed with their squad overall, and they have some really exciting youngsters coming through.
That is an absolutely massive overexageration as per usual for you, there were only a handful of posts on the Northstanders last season about him being poor, and a good 95% of responders were defending him. Same when you're stood in the terraces, a very small minority who moan about everything moan about him.
You're deluded mate as usual - did you not see and hear the abuse he got after the Saints game! Get a grip man.

Here is our resident FC expert on all things rugby. I'd say Grix has better handling skills than Shaul and better defensively but of course your chav has raw speed. From what iv seen Shaul spills his share of high balls but because he hasn't had to defend that much he gets a lot of attacking ball.Different role nowadays and we have 2 small fast fullbacks at KR in Moss and Quinlan.May be a luxury? Hardaker was the perfect blend of old style fullback and modern extra pivot but unfortunately he spunked his talent

Why you going on about Hull FC, I didn't mention them or Shaul?
Just like your chairman did in the HDM Q&A published yesterday, totally unprompted uncle Neil started waffling on about Hull FC
All of it tbh but I actually hope your assessment is right I'd love it to be so. I just don't have quite your belief, years of disappointment I suppose.
Cop out of an answer, hey ho!
We’ve got a huge front row rotation, athletic back row, two good organisers at Half Back and pace across the three quarters complimented by an experienced Full Back.
I also pointed out some of our major flaws so no suggestion that we are unbeatable. As for not matching us for size, that’s based on this game and who’s in HKRs squad right now, it’s not aimed at every RL team.
I’m not sure how else anyone could describe the Wakefield team other than how I did

Didn't Want any passing Wakey fan to think you were a Robin. You gave us the benefit of your view on Grix and I compared him to your FB. Wrap up warm tonight it's a miserable cold day.Just got in from bit of graft and it's bitter. Shower then beer for me so I will keep an eye on how you go against Hudds. Hudds getting 10 start and in this weather may be a decent punt? Done Mamo or Rankin 1st try.

I wouldn't want them to think that either.

We should get the job done, but definitely worth a punt. Crap weather, perhaps one eye on the Aus trip, some players haven't had a run out in pre-season, you never really know what's going to happen in these early games.
