Who do you guys think we will play at half back? To me Atkin on the bench is a wasted spot. He either starts or not in the 17 for me. However only way I see him playing is if Sheens drops Ellis which would be a big call at this stage.

Does Quinlan come back in at FB if fit?

Some interesting decisions to be made at 1, 6 and 7.

Quinlan not done enough for me to earn a straight recall, Moss was good at FB on Sunday and Shaw is a better winger than Moss. The only real Option we have is Salter to 2nd row and Blair in the halfs but cant see it.

Patterson, Higham, Hansen, Brown, Vea, Maria, Tickle and Stewart were all 30 or over

Aside from that I'll take your point

My apologies, Vea and Maria have just turned 30 this season as well. Mitch Brown is still in his 20's - Tickle & Stewart were not in the starting 13 and therefore not included in my point for obvious reasons.

Okay I will re word by saying only Micky Higham and Harrison Hanson out of Leigh's starting thirteen fall into the 31+ age bracket, everyone else is aged 17-30 :D

Quinlan has played a few games at 6 in the NRL and could be an option but hasn't had any time there and may be targeted by Leigh in defense.

I'm thinking / hoping Greenwood is back which would free up Blair to play at 6.

Then again I imagine we didn't pay a fee for Atkin to sit in the stands.

Nice to have options but none of the stand out as an easy or best choice. Looking forward to the game!

Greenwood has been gash all year. And will be no where near match fit. Not an option for me.

Jesus, Mitch Brown has had a hard paper round then.. :D

Talking of old timers, is Hock likely to play this week?

Not likely to play this season.

Age is just a number. Would feel much more comfortable with 33 year old Gareth Hock playing than 26 year old James Green!

No he has been ruled out for the season and with Dane Weston having recently retired and the idiot Jamie Acton being suspected, it has left us a little short of some grunt in the front row IMO.

Forgot about Green, whats happened to him? If he plays I'll give it 20 minutes til he smacks one of his ex team mates and gets sent off.

If we lose Masoe for this match, what are the options..agree Greenwood has not been anywhere near last seasons level, Clarkson(meh) been ok so far but no world beater, Mitch Clark usually gives impact and go forward and would be my choice but doesn't seem to be Sheens. Is he fit to play?
Re. the half back, I would persevere with Atkin, he is a half back and we must have some creativity. We are low on options and have got to try something...horses for courses and all that.

I'd imagine Clark would be a direct replacement for Masoe if his shoulder is shagged. The perpetrator got 1 match for that chicken wing, which will no doubt benefit Widnes.
