Good player but is a winger a priority for you? Particularly with him being a quota player. I don't think he's a racist but he'll probably be trying to bang a few of the wags down at rovers

I am the only sensible person who frequents this forum. My fellow Hull fans are only here for a laugh and no rovers fan can be deemed sensible

Wonder what Burton's Forearm is going to call him. The name Bigot is already used by him for Cockayne

I think I'll call him what he is a racist, philandering c#nt.

Odd signing. Not played well for a while. Mounting up injuries. Not got a great history with squad harmony. A position we aren't short on. Wonder what Oakes thinks...and Stan....and Maka...and Zook.

Embarrassment is not what I usually associate with Rovers but today is embarrassing.

I think this may be an astute signing by Tim Sheens .....Given the fact that Sheens has strength in depth regarding outside backs and that he is willing to trial players in different positions (Abdull at centre and Salter in the second-row for example) ......Maybe Sheens has decided to sign Carney to utilise his power, strength and speed in other positions ......A possible full-back maybe, or a second-row forward ......As a full-back or second-row forward, Carney would have more involvement in a game then he would have playing on the wing ......Maybe this proposition from Sheens is what tempted Carney away from a top side riding high in the Super League and to sign for a Championship side for the rest of this season and 2018? ......A new position and a new start with a seasoned coach respected throughout the game and with a club that is too good for the Championship was maybe the impetus for Carney to sign for us so he could home his skills in a new position and start all over again.

Given our injuries regarding our back-row forwards (Greenwood, Donaldson, Addy and Horne), personally, I would love to see Carney in the second-row and running hard at the defensive line on our flanks ......He has the potential to be our new Clint!

So Sheens "the Messiah" has a team (despite having no serious completion) is so shallow and ravaged with injuries you have to sign a racist, serving a long ban sacked by the team you lost a MPG to less than a year ago??!

Impressive!

Quality like Carney will not have come cheap.

It's good to see the club commit beyond 2017.

Almost as if they know something we don't.

Carney is no Clint Newton. On any level. Never will be. I find the comparison on a playing and other levels embarrassing.

He knows it's his last chance and he knows Tim won't take any sh*t, I believe Tim has made a shrewd move and I wouldn't be surprised to see him used differently.
