It's a very big stadium. I wouldn't be to concerned with a few empty seats. Doesn't mean that you've not taken decent numbers. Against Warrington & Cas there were many empty seats in the upper tier of their ends.

I've been to the last 5 finals and to be honest, the Upper Tier has been about half full every time. I'm always amused by the announced attendance when it's clearly false. The must include Club Wembley as all being there when in reality most don't turn up.

It does include the club Wembley seats as they've already been sold on the ten year pass or whatever it was

Re: Cup Final Tickets : Thu Aug 20, 2015 9:24 pm
I've been in those Club Wembley seats for 6 of the last 7 CC finals. Only ever about 25 % full. My daughter's former work colleague has a 10 year pre-sold debenture on 4 seats but because he is a southerner and sadly football centric, he always goes away with his family for the Bank Holiday and she makes a charitable donation to get the tickets at £50 a throw.

Club Wembley - wider seats, more legroom, free programmes and merchandise, no queues at the bars or loos and a greater choice of drinks and food. Dedicated entrance too.

I shall miss it, but this year I am proud to say we have opted to sit at the Rervers end near the halfway line, albeit in the upper tier. No brainer.

There are another 4 of the upper tier blocks at the Rovers end that are close to a sell out. Leaving aside Club Wembley, there are only about 5000 upper tier tickets left at the time of post, so attendance should be over 80k.

I don't doubt you, but where does this info come from Picky? (hope you don't mind the nickname, we could settle on Picko if you prefer?)

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Sorry Goose. Don't get the wrong impression. It's daughter that's the rich and successful kid. All her own work too, as she is incredibly gifted and has worked her socks off. She's nice and down to earth with it too. I'm just a Holderness Road kid me who went to Mersey St school. A poor boy from a poor family, married to a pauper. Can't take any credit for the political persuasion of rural and affluent North Yorkshire either, I'm afraid, as I'm politically apathetic.

Regarding Stan's question about the accuracy of my statement regarding the top tier tickets still available. If you go on to the Rfl ticketing website for the CC Final and try and get 2 tickets together for each of the remaining available blocks, it automatically steers you to the next available row. If you choose these tickets, add them to your basket and then cancel each time, you can repeat to get a rough idea of how sales are progressing in each remaining block. You also need an open copy of Map a Plan for Wembley to show you a drill down of each block and the rows and seat nos. My 5000 guesstimate of unsold tickets is based on this crude but hopefully effective methodology.

I rang the RFL and asked how many seats were still available in the top tier of west stand. Straight away they said about 5000.
I said wow that was quick, they replied well some guy has bought and cancelled every seat there so we are pretty certain.
