Yes granted Warrington have not had the best start, but the have quality players all over the field! You can not say the same about Salford.

The scary thing is they out-played us in every department. Rovers by at least 20 on Friday.

Salford must have improved from the week before though as they were really poor, and I’m not trying to have a dig there but they simply must have. As your coach said on the radio before the match, the challenge cup can be a nice distraction for a club performing like Salford are and like you were last year in the league.

I’m simply saying Salford must have improved since they played us as quite frankly they were shocking at Craven Park. Salford will see the Challenge cup as a welcome distraction from Superleague as did FC last year.

Salford actually looked quite good. They had option runners, were winning literally every collision, getting off-loads away and scored some good trys. In fact the scoreline flattered us because they were by far the better team and should have scored more. Not sure what that says about us but it doesn't look good for Friday at all

Hull will be very difficult to beat and i think they still may have the edge with home advantage. FWIW I don't think either team are playing particularly well, except the Saints game Rovers result have been fairly predicable though when they have won they have won comfortably.

Looking forward to the atmosphere though.

Friday's game was one of the most rounded and concise performances I've seen from Rovers since we've been in Super League. I know Celtic aren't the greatest team we'll play this season but they're no mugs and still need to be beaten (same applys with Hull).
