100% correct. But seen as though neither are playing, your statement is pointless.

SmokeyTA wrote:

No he isn't. But whilst we're talking hookers, Fitzhenry is way faster than ANY Saints player and by some distance.

SmokeyTA wrote:

See above.

Not at all. I'd back Fox, Fitzhenry & Cockayne to catch him over 100m with a 15m handicap quite easily.

SmokeyTA wrote:

Couldn't really say cos I haven't seen his long range speed being tested.

SmokeyTA wrote:
Long dont pose a threat from long range?

Not in the slightest. His break against Aus in the 2006 tri-nations sydney game proved that when he was caught by Hindmarsh.

So you don't agree we are a faster side? - What Saints players in particular do you think are faster than their opposite numbers on the Rovers team? (please be specific).

I don't take the point that HKR are quicker than Saints at all. If anything, Saints are a quicker side right now than before due to Gilmour playing in the centres.

As a team yes, but not as individuals so stop engineering my point to be something it wasn't.

This is where you go wrong. Saints don't play as individuals. They very rarely look to score from deep anymore as they don't need to. What you will get from Saints is strong running, strong defence and a deep kicking game. So far we have beat Warrington (who are stronger in both the pack and the backs than HKR) and won handsomely at Huddersfield, who are both traditionally a harder game for us and also a stronger side than you. Hull KR will not have the defence, the patience or the talent to beat us at home. Winning against the best sides requires firstly patience, the ability to understand that a game lasts a longtime. Saints have this in abundance, they have not lost a league game since April last year and their only loss was at OT against Leeds.

I cant see past a comfortable 12 + points win for us against a side such as HKR.

Simply not true at all.

they are saints and kr players respectively arent they?

yes, but Fitzhenry is a very average winger, and an even more average hooker, you could put Dwain Chambers there and call him a hooker, but it wont make him one

See above.

a hundred metre race isnt the same though is it. Maybe as a team in 100 metre races HKR would win, but thats not what is happening, Saints are a very skillful side, HKR are a very average side, bloody hell Leeds scored a comparatively long range try started by Ryan Bailey last week, which just goes to show, you can have the fastest players in all the world, if they are weak and tired and too lazy to get low on the big man, they will be beaten by quality players,

Couldn't really say cos I haven't seen his long range speed being tested.

doesnt surprise me, you obviously havent seen much RL before

I don't like pointing out the bloody obvious but our backline is exactly the same except for Gilmour (who is much quicker than Talau) and Armstrong (who is just as slow as Meli).

Therefore, how exactly is Saints' backline slower than before?

You don't need to worry about Pryce. He's out injured. As is Cayliss and Flannery. I think Graham may be back. He's in the 19 but that's no guarantee. So we're very much relying on our young players on Friday and of course there's still no sign of the missing Meli (well, he's more missing than he usually is anyway).

Saints probably will score a try from inside there half (they usually do)
It will be a shock result if you beat us and most of you will be as surprised as anyone.See you Friday.
