And webster's record in super league is so much more impressive??? Who would be your first choice, Des?
Would be happy to stick with webster, you dont think we have improved since he took over? Morgan would be a decent choice or somebody like newton or galea, powell if he was available Still what do I know I said we should have got campese a coaching job at the club and signed somebody else in his place last year when he got crocked, and got plenty of stick for it.Go on tell me I was wrong, seeing he has done a cracking job for the yorkshire post, but unfortunately not for us,if I remember correctly you were one of the several who said I was wrong.Do you still think that ?
So you'd prefer Newton or Galea to coach us, who between them have zero coaching qualifications or experience, over the former national team coach?
Take your time to reply, your entire future posting credibility rests on your next one.
Assuming they were qualified lol.Have no idea whether they are,as I said would be happy to stay with webbo,or powell or morgan if they were available. Its a pity my credibility didn't rest on replacing campese, what did you think then and now ?

Unfortunately des, I didn't comment on your take on the campese situation. It's no good suggesting the likes of Powell for the coaches job. He's under contract and doing well so I doubt he's see us a step up. You might as well suggest Craig Bellemy if we're just throwing names out there. The truth of the matter is that there aren't many top coaches with experience (a prerequisite for the job as stated by our chairman) that we could realistically entice. If we have a chance of bringing a respected assistant coach from the nrl who was recently the coach of the national side to our club then we should be grateful he'll consider us. Granted, his time at Bradford didn't end well but it was his first coaching job in difficult circumstances. He will have undoubtably improved as a coach since then as would anyone in any job given 7 years more experience.

As my learned colleague has already pointed out, it's pure nostalgia to mention Newton, Galea, Webster & Morgan. How about giving Stan a shot? he's a club legend, clearly the only qualification required.
As for the Campese issue, given his contractual position, were you offering to pay him what he is rightly owed to remove him from the playing roster? Or is it the boards job to pee more of their own cash up the wall?

It seems they have peed either their money or the clubs money away on campese already wouldn't you say?

He went straight from his sacking at bradford to the england job,so the rfl must have been impressed by his performance at bradford, which explains why we failed miserably in the 2013 world cup.The only 2 teams of any consequence new zealand both beat us and we arguably had the strongest squad we have ever had, bearing in mind the 2013 man of steel wasn't considered by mcnamara because he dosn't like him.Sound reasoning wouldn't you say ?

Possibly so, without having the benefit of clear hindsight, perhaps you could tell me at what point did you decide we should terminate an employees contract? If it was before we signed him, then subject to evidence of this I will of course, apologise profusely and recommend you for the current vacancy of UK Prime Minister.
After said contract was signed then TC has an obligation to honour it, as do Rovers.
