It's a number of different things. With Craven park at one end you are so far away from the pitch that you can barely see the game. The other teams that you mentioned are uncovered but they are large terraces where the views are relativley good.
As fans from Hull we are used to traveling an hour or two to away games, but for West Yorkshire and Lancs fans it's different. There are five teams in West Yorks all within 30 mins of each other. In Lancs there are 4 teams within about 30 mins and you can get from West yorks to Lancs in around an hour. The combination of the extra distance to travel and the poor viewing facilities means that a trip to craven park is never gonna be top of the list for traveling fans.

At bradford your up in the gods watching the game so whats the difference there.
It would not bother me and the majority of our supporters wher we travelled to watch our team so the excuse allthough could be vallied about travelling distence is in my opinion pretty lame

It wouldn't be so bad if they just made the south stand the same as the north. It isn't as bad at Odsal as you are elevated. Mind you, it was only a tenner, so at least they price it accordingly. I saw the plans for the new main stand, and there is the space there for some impressive facilities.

Can I ask, do Hull KR get more away fans coming in the summer?

I ask this because the weather can affect whether a person goes when they will not be undercover, ie Headingley, Craven park, Belle vue, Cas vegas Odslum.

Just try watch a Rovers match from the South Stand and you'll maybe have more of an idea.

yeah the summer does see a upturn in away fans comming over, and when the weather is good CP is an attractive ground to watch rugby in

I agree I would rather watch "summer" rugby in a rugby ground rather than a football ground

Yes, I dont go to Craven Park because of the crap view. If away fans could get tickets for the popular side as we could in the past then I would maybe go but i'm not gonna pay to watch from the banks of the humber or from the golf stand where you have to sit, with no cover facing into the weather.

I wouldnt go in that stand again, I had no idea what was going on at the other end of the field and couldnt see the tryline at the South stand end, as you the advertising boards where in the way.

The distance isnt the problem, if the stand was higher it would be Ok. (like Odsal).

This season I will try and get tickets for the golf stand again. Otherwise I hope the game is on TV (might be a top of the table clash)
