Well done Rovers you won fair and square , if you'd been as clinical/cynical against Salford you'd have had this season with us in SL , but no rules broken ( although perhaps something to look at if it starts to become regular , along with a few other rules ) o no argument from me
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

For us a lot to look at
All the best
It's something that has become religion in nrl and it's so simple. If ur a try in front control the PTB by all means necessary, penalties become worthless... also when u have half a team that ruined their livelihoods by lacking game smarts, u can bet ur swollocks to a barn dance they will remember.
I think the ref rapidly putting teams on a warning nips it in the bud, but he did do that. U go behind with limited time on the clock, u don't ram it up the middle like u did, u offload and take the ruck wrestle out of the equation!
Well as a Leigh fan I'll congratulate you, especially for that last minute. It's win at all costs and probably may have cost you a sin binning, but at that stage who gives a stuff, professional and sensible enough to see it out. We at Catalan blew it in the last minute by rushing instead of seeing it out, and as it happens it would have seen us 10th.
Good luck for the rest of the 8s, likelyhood now 2 SL teams in MPG- reckon you'll do both Widnes and Cats
Thanks for that, very gracious of you.
Your owner has made his comments in the aftermath of a disappointing loss he'll probably regret it later.
Everyone is so on edge due to the nature of this middle 8 compettion. I noticed the signs at your ground today saying 'going onto the pitch is a criminal offence'. ........didn't stop Salford's owner last year in the million pound game, his fans followed him and there was a near riot. In sport there has to be winners & losers but the drama of the middle 8's isn't about the glory of the winners it's more about a gory fascination with the devastating effects for the losers. No wonder we get bad behaviour even from club owners.
The appeal that the RFL wanted is certainly there not for the fans of the clubs involved who hate it but for the TV viewers enjoying the brutal kill from the safety of their armchairs.

The drama that the RFL wanted is certainly there but they have created a monster.
It depends which side of the equation you are on , out of SL for a decade and it's exciting , in SL for one and it's despair ' but I'm happy with it , we lose , we lose ' we win , we win

Nail on the head, 'His Bobness'; it is sad and disappointing to see our great game reduced to car-crash TV yet compelling at the same time.
The 8s carry no sentiment for the losers - it is win at all cost - and that is exactly what Rovers did. Some might say the gamesmanship of the final minute was blatant, I say it was savvy.

Well said even if we win and get back to super league I will say this is a way to have to do It, and I will feel sorry for the team who comes down the way it is even if you do not finish bottom you have a chance of going down it should be 1 up I down if you are bottom you go down if you are top you go up not this rubbish
He's not on his own.Scrutons scruffy ptb was the reason we won apparently? I suggest certain Leigh posters watch it again.Yes he wasn't fully up,he wasn't able to as Vera was all over him and basically doing the same thing Derek is bitching about.Matters not now back up good result in next 2 games whilst the others take points and lumps out of each other then we see how it settles
Jukes is upset over the alleged knock-on by Lunt for the winning try, saying the ref should have gone to the video ref. Of course, this totally overlooks the fact the dummy half defence was had-over again!
TBH I don't believe Lunt lost control of the ball and the ref appeared to have full sight.
Beaumonts comments are terrible, it's not as if Leigh play by the rules is it, they would win at all costs as well, any team did and what Rovers did was smart.
Even as a Hull fan Rovers offer a lot more to SL than Leigh.
Massive win yesterday, really didn't expect it, surely you can't mess this up, look all set for 2nd/3rd, as you should beat Fev and London and I think you will beat either Widnes Or Catalans at home, also if you need too, beating Warrington last game is a real chance as they should be promoted by then.

I've said this before, but you can't look and blame one decision for a loss, the ref probably gets a few things wrong for both teams each game, just Rovers took advantage of a couple yesterday, leigh had there chances but on the day they weren't good enough.
