I thought Murrell had a good game at 6 for us last night, as he did against Huddersfield last week. Fair enough if we have a Lomax or Gaskill in the 20's play them, but to the best of my knowledge we don't. I noticed in an earlier post Murrell was one of the players listed to go at the end of the season, I would suggest that his utility value alone would make him well worth retaining.
Murrell did have another good game last night, waltzed through the Cas line to set up our last try.
We need to learn to put the shutters up and close games out. Our attack looks ok but as we know our defence is shocking, CS has got to be given time to sort this out IMO. He's still learning his way and things haven't gone the way he'd have liked so far but hopefully hell get there. Regarding Scott Murrell, I thought he did well again last night, one of our better performers. Another thing that baffles me is our inability to stop offloads.
'when my life is over, the thing which will have given me greatest pride is that I was first to plunge into the sea, swimming freely underwater without any connection to the terrestrial world'
I'm not gonna blame the ref, if we can't tackle then we will lose, Cas had more enthusiasm than us, they deserved it, we got what we deserved, nothing.
I agree, if you don't tackle you won't win, but when you are tackling set after set its an almost certainty that you will concede tries. I was stood on the terracing below the score board and the try that was disallowed looked good, how he gave a tap 22 was anyones guess. I have no confidence in Hicks as a referee, he makes far too many mistakes at crucial points in games and as one poster said a while back, he is a 'homer' and tends to favour home sides. I said to my wife at 28-18 that I expected him to give a few penalties to even things up and I was right, not because I was being alarmist, but because I have witnessed Hicks refereeing too many times to come to any other conclusion.

5 losses, 5 crap refs? Lol. Get over it, you are a small club with a VERY small fan base. HKR are being found out....at last.
We got what we dederved last night. we made an ordinary pack look like world beaters. Not sure why but our middle defence was shocking, we never once seemed to be able to put a player down. the ref never lost us the game, we managed that on our own. Whether it was conditioning or just atitude we underestimated cas. Sandercock needs to stop blaming the ref, hes turning into arsene wenger, take a bit of blame on the chin, we played dum rugby and need to smarten up.
We need a leader out there on the pitch, missing that big style so far this year.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.
We're still one of the least intelligent teams in the league, some of our play calls are so thick as to be laughable. I reckon if I sat down and tried I could probably guess what play we'd be going with in the three tackles time about eighty per cent of the time, so proper coaches must laugh their cocks off.
