I thought Atkins looked a bright spark for you, and did cause us some problems at times, I think though the scene was set when after a bright start and you forcing repeat sets with some smart kicking you opted to take two points when at that point you had us under the cosh. It showed a lack of confidence and we jumped on that. A couple of unlucky for you /lucky for us tries and the tables were turned.

What you need is a running hooker - Lunt isn’t that and never has been. With the squad you have you are going to struggle to play to your strengths with a passing hooker.

One example this season is the isgusting misuse of Chris Atkin.





I was told by an ex player who is now killing it at his new club that he went to Sheens in pre season to ask what sort of game time is he to expect this season, he was told " I have players on bigger salaries and i have to think of them first"!!!! This is 100% true.

Your opinion is valid and as fans we want success now.Agree with some of what you write but having only 1 prop from 6 is just nuts. I liked the look of our squad pre season and we haven't played that badly until Friday. Most teams will go through this during a season imo. What coach could have done better? Although I agree Atkin could have been played a lot more.Another season of scraping by.(Hopefully)
