Back in the early to mid eighties during what was probably the most successful period in the clubs history, that particular chant rang out in unison loud and clear at every game that i can remember, especially at the away games for some reason.
It always seemed to be one of those chants that raised team and quite often the roof as well, so to speak.
If i had one criticism of some fans today it would be that there isn't enough variation in the songs and chants that they sing and some just dont bother to make any noise at all. Plus, when they do, it always seems to come mainly from one middle section of the east stand, some of the fans stood in the east stand nowadays never seem to show any passion at all except when they moan or jeer.
One thing is for sure, every fan in the ground will have to play their vociferous part on Saturday, including those in the West stand.
There will be no second chances this time.
