'when my life is over, the thing which will have given me greatest pride is that I was first to plunge into the sea, swimming freely underwater without any connection to the terrestrial world'
If the current situation prevails, injures to key players, players not giving it 100% etc, I cannot see past bottom spot for us. I was talking to an ex-Leeds player during the course of my work a few weeks ago and his comments were 'with such a light pack and signing injury prone players, you will struggle to stay in SL', which I couldn't argue with. What hacked me off this season is the 'denial' that recruitment was poor from our board, it was as plain as the nose on your face in 2015 we didn't have the pack in particular to trouble SL teams, yet we signed centres and wingers instead of going for much needed back row power. One positive is that I love the Lake District and will be able to make a weekend of it at away games next season.

Despite your form, I don;t think you will finish bottom (Wakey will) and there is no way you won't come straight back up, you are still too strong for the likes of Bradford and Leigh (Both who are struggling against the likes of Batley).
Get rid of Charlie, shaw, salter, Horne, clarkson, Dixon, kelly, Blair, tilse, mulhern. Haven't really seen much of marsh and co. Could do with a 17 like; New FB Sio Thornley New centre Mantellato Campo (depending on injuries etc) New running HB Green Lunt Walker Larroyer Any SR like Hull have got Donaldson
Boudebza Prop like Taylor Allgood (needs to get his act together and stop being a penalty machine) Another big forward to get us dominating
In order to rebuild with any success, whomever the new coach will be, will need as much cap space as possible to do so. (SL status permitting of course). We're in a bad place right now, and if we're at full cap - cuts will need to happen in order to rebuild/strengthen/rebalance the squad next year.
Hypothetically and real world, I'd look to move on as many of the high earning overseas lot as possible (Mantellato aside) ...
I can't imagine we're getting great value from an injured 6 & currently disinterested and injured 7. Sio may as well not be playing for the amount of ball we've moved his way this season. Looks an ever isolated and disconsolate figure out there. A penalty machine liability for what Allgood brings half the time wouldn't be missed too much in my world. Tilse, whilst he isn't this and isn't that, he's reliable but yet easily replaceable from elsewhere I'd imagine. Blair - obv I'm clearly not privy to his earnings, but we've certainly had the best return on the pitch overall. So would be last on the list to go, but if needs must.
Guess the salary comp would probably put Lunt and Larroyer in the mix too for value for cap money, but it's unlikely we could move them on, without cost. As too, would likely be the case with the others mentioned who have contracts beyond next season. But seeing as it’s all PR’s hypothetical and unlimited Rovers fantasy land .. Out … - Campo / Sio / Blair / Kelly / Tilse / Allgood / Walker / Dixon / Shaw / Salter / Lunt / Larroyer / Horne

So you'd get rid of most the the team including the ones have been playing well that will work
In: Greg Inglis Jonathan Thurston Rachel Riley Dom Jolly Frank Sidebottom Ted Bundy Joseph Fritzl Len Ganly Bob Todd Rob Darcy The Plague.
Obviously, with such a dramatic change in personnel mid season we may need a while to bed them all in and it could take a few games before we decide on the best position for Riley (insert smutty comment here).

You wouldn't be trying to take the mickey here now, would you Stan, out of my honest attempt to stimulate Rachel Riley, sorry I meant honest debate.
Apparently SL referees call John Wilkin - The Plague - because he's all over them like a rash.
Mind you, we have quite a few poxy players who could carry that Plague tag too.
