Why don't we all just wait until we've had a competitive game and give the doom and gloom a rest
Frankie. Don't know about you, but if someone used to tell me I was crap at something I thought I was good at, I revelled in trying to prove them wrong and upped my game. Not everyone has this mindset in their DNA but it can be achieved through psychology and desire, allied to a bit of confidence and self belief.
Ultimately, I hope all this criticism and negativity on here and elsewhere delivers the ultimate wake up call and butt kicking exercise our players and coaches need, based on their half hearted preseason debacle.
There was an earlier post in this thread from Hessle Rover that summed it up to perfection. It was about all this low expectation being the best incentive for the players to stick two fingers up to everyone, step it up a level or two and prove the doubters wrong.
I am hoping I see the boys achieve this on Sunday. 80 minute full throttle in your face intensity. COYR. RRTR.
