Complete guess, but I wonder whether Hull are entitled to one free pre-season game as part of their convoluted deal at the KC stadium.

Iirc, this has been their only home friendly in recent years. If, and I'm just speculating, the stewarding costs etc are covered, it could make sense.

Just trying to think of a reason why it hasn't been changed up.

Or maybe it is just that it is easier to get to the KC than the KCL from more of the city.

I would imagine that as our chairmen are mates they will pick the best soloution for our clubs? if our ground made more cash then it would be played there. If we get over 12k then some poor soul has to use the south stand & would not wish that on anyone, even our freinds from the West

On the basis a ticket for your seat had not already been sold.

must admit I don't know why it isn't done at one ground then the other, Both parties must have ageed to it and its only a friendly which brings a bit of extra cash in

If it was at KCLS then the 5 or 6 thousand FC fans who attend every year wouldn't turn up. Maybe 1-2 thousand at a push.

maybe the reason we play this pointless friendly at the main kc stadium is the fact it has under soil heating!

middle of jan/feb frozen pitches are the norm and its quite possible the game at the little kc could be threatened by this
