Quote me on this come the end of the middle 8's, but lets see your opinion when FC finish 8th and have said scenerio. You wont gain anything for the bigger sides if your own fans dont turn up when losing 5/6 out of 7 etc. Home form is vital in that.

As for the money side. Away fans, barring FC and a couple of other teams, you dont get much in SL. Leigh and Bradford would of course travel as its a group they dont go too and would be classed as a big game in comparison.

Said this straight from Sunday night, given the results, i want us to finish 9th. 8th offers us nothing.

Financially, 9th & 10th will be much better for us than 8th. The extra home game (walk ups, away fans, corporate & bar takings) will be far more than a couple of hundred extra away fans. Besides , if we get Leigh at home they will shift 800 North Stand tickets faster than certain clubs closer to home.

Finishing 8th could be far more damaging for 2016 pass sales compared to finishing 9th. Remembering potentially losing 6 of your last 7 games could be enough to put some fans of renewing. The Radford out banners would be out come game 4. It would do Rovers no harm finishing 9th and been able to test new plays and ideas before the 2016 season. At the end of the day, a win is a win. No fear of relegation with our current squad. Can't see the crowds dropping much either.

give yourselfs a slap, course he wants to finish in the top 8 as do all the fans, just a case of saving face,he will be saying next its best if there lose the cc semi as might cost the club money blah blah blah

Lose next week and you'll finish 10th with away games at widnes (probably) and leigh.

Couple of injuries & a bit of bad luck & the middle 8 will be very hard. It will be interesting glad we are not in them though.

the only thing i agree with hudge is it should've been 1 up 1 down!

as to say to finish in the bottom 4 is a blessing in disguise is laughable, trying to ease the pain of missing the 8 and many kr fans will believe him

as for the four games at home compared to 3 fc will have, if you get sheffield at home, you will be lucky if you get a coach load of away fans, so the income from that game wont make any difference, may even cost rovers more putting that game on! home paying fans will probably give the game a wide birth too!
