Let's face it, the off season has traditionally been the best time of year to support FC. Tons of promises year after year, aimed at driving up pass sales. Annual rumour fest about Rovers going bust, and huge threads on your site about how high up the table you will finish (its usually "top 4 plus CC semi's mimimum" type comments). It's like a lovely dream that gets shattered every February.
Having said all that, even I can see that AP may break the mould. Best budget for some brasso from now on.
You say that about FC, but is it much different at Rovers? You're in the mid table mediocrity bucket with us and articulate similar aspirations, indeed Zod's been rumoured to have said that with a few astute signings you should be challenging for top 2 next season.
The good thing about being a Hull fan at the moment is the context. Less than 2 months ago our off season was with Kath and Agar in charge. Now we've got the Silver Fox avec chequebook, new coach, new conditioner, new DOR, Andy Lynch, reduced season pass prices, maybe (however ridiculous it may be) Jamie Lyon. You can't widdle on my bonfire, cockle. AP's pouring the petrol of hope on it. Not like we've signed a coach with "concerns about his character", is it? (see what I did there, getting us back on topic
