True, they got just over 9,000 for the same fixture last season, although they did dip below 8k on a couple of occasions later in the year.

I think the difference in Leeds (H) last year against this year can almost entirely be attributed to the drop in the Leeds following. This may be a trend throughout the season as finances get tight.

Several people around me commented 'bollox' when the attendance was given, its not often you see the South and North ends well populated and get under a 9,000 gate. Maybe creative accounting.

I expected Rovers to get over 9,000 on Friday. Have to say the Warrington attendance was very poor.

That's right , years ago you just turned up to virtually any game and crammed into the popular stand.
