PROUD TO BE A ROBIN!

Jamie Peacock : Tue Apr 03, 2018 12:21 pm
When Hudge announced his signing, he said it was the best bit of business we have done in years. Can anyone without guessing tell me what his role within the club actually is?
As far as i know from what friends with business` who sponsor us have told me, he spends most of his days turning up unannounced begging for more money, "sponsor this, sponsor that". What is his day to day role?

What has Peacock brought to the table ? . he was adamant we didn't need to recruit for the middle eights, resulting in him having to come out of retirement after winning the treble with the Rhinos to try and keep Rovers up, he failed . Peacock is a waste of space in my opinion . our recruitment has been shocking Tommy Lee & Danny Tickle ...really ? .
Our chairman is arrogant and in my opinion take fans for granted , he says the B.O.D have learnt their lessons from relegation , however we fail to make any decent signings .

The chairman didn't help with his interview stating he didn't enjoy it anymore , this was only a few days before the SL season . he criticises fans who say anything negative about the club , We even had Peacock threaten a fan on twitter .

Re: Jamie Peacock : Wed Apr 04, 2018 9:16 am
Trying to take a bit more of a balanced view than the poster above, Peacock has brought in some decent young talent in Minns, Mulhern, Atkin, Heffernan and Oakes (who I think will be a star one day), mixed in with some decent senior players like McGuire & Masoe.

The issue is the players in between like Lee, Tickle, Jewitt, Kavanagh, Clarkson - too many plodders. You've had to sign these players to build a squad. This is in part to a shallow player pool, particularly from the NRL due to the huge salary cap gap (itself caused by clubs like Rovers keeping our cap terribly low), partly because Rovers is a hard sell as a recently promoted club (why would BMM join Rovers when he could join Warrington?).

That said, I don't fully buy those arguments or the argument that Rovers have suffered because they had less time to sign players as they could only act once the season ended. Loads of players have moved clubs since October, Westmorland had you linked with most of them.

Plus you have a pretty bad injury list at the moment.

Careful not to criticise too much though, Neil will out you in the HDM. #prayforneil

He turns up unannounced at sponsors businesses?
If true I’m surprised the club allow that to happen .
I can’t see what he brings to the club at all , he had a five year plan , and gave all his spiel in an interview when he was employed by our club .

He has lots of other ventures that maybe are a conflict of interest with his role at Rovers . I would have thought the club would have employed someone who would give 100% to the role.

If you don’t like him, buy the club off Hudge and then you can sack him.

In the meantime, if Rob Crossland and Hudge think he’s doing ok then it’s nowt to do with some random nutter on a message board.

Don't know how he's doing at HKR but I've learnt not to approach him in a casino when he's lost a load of money at poker. Was sulking like a little child.
