New signings : Sun Apr 01, 2018 5:37 pm
Any body hear of any new signings..... because we are really desperate for a new half back that can control the game... and I’d think about getting will jub back from York because tommy lee it’s not good enough never runs from acting half

Not heard a thing. What is frustrating is that most of those who watch and support the team knew very early that our half back cover was inadequate, but as has been said you can only sign what is available and who want to sign. If this is not dealt with before the play offs(which is where most of us think we will be,again) then it will become a critical matter which could really bite us badly, think Campese and Kelly missing when we really needed them. Plus,of course we need some more size and quality in the forwards, who to be fair have been a having a go recently, but 15 stone forwards running into 17-18 stone forwards are usually going to come off worse.
We as supporters can do nothing except back the team, which does have quality, but not quiet enough as yet, and hope that the people that make the decisions get it right sooner rather than later.
I remember the trophy winning days and want them back, they were great. With good planning and some good luck it could happen.
Its time it did.

Re: New signings : Sun Apr 01, 2018 10:40 pm
We have good young players but not enough experienced players and the ones we do have on the field are just average... if we had an experience half that controls the game we would of sneaked a few more games Atkin has showed some bits off class but has a long way to go his last tackle plays are not the best he will learn a lot from McGuire but may be at least 2 seasons of super League to get him in to a good half back, marsh has had to many chances apart from the odd good game at full back he has never showed quality.I think maybe a decent second row or lose man wunt go a miss but even though ower pack is light weight I don’t think that has been the problem we have been In the right areas just lacked that bit of experience and skill to score the points agents huds ower attack looked good apart from that it’s been below average if it was not Tim Sheens in charge I think any other coach would be very close to getting the sack if they had not been sacked already look at Chester hope things change and soon

Any no if it’s true about us trying to sign Matty Smith I hope so if I was sheens I’d put a big offer in for him, we have been missing a half back that controls the game since Dobson imo his the perfect fit and the fact his English aswell
