Only 1 player (Downes) keeping his place in the starting line up from the team that lost to Leeds on Saturday. Webster obviously giving all of his huge squad a chance to shine.
We would have needed about 15 friendlies if the lads that have walked away decided to stay..

On the plus side, looking at Skirlaugh under 18s Yorkshire Cup winning side, they have benefitted. Let's hope one of them can do a "George Lawler".

More likely a symptom of journalism's revenues issues than a cause, I reckon.

I've mentioned his journalistic limitations elsewhere, but in fairness I doubt it is a paid role. We get the results and scorers, he gets some experience - draw-draw, innit?

We really need a nickname for the Academy though referring to them as Hull doesn't seem right and City of Hull is a bit of a mouthful. I shall ponder on an absurdist suggestion!

Lets face it you have to start somewhere, I bet if he was any good he would be on a good wage in a proper job? the way the press are regarded nowadays is on a par with Jimmy Savile & Stuart Hall.
