I was a bit surprised that Brambani, who I always thought of as a decent half struggled to get his angles and distances correct.

The slope is still as terrifying as I remember from being a kid and having to run the ball out from the bottom corner. Indeed, having not got a pie from the two pie shacks I ended up back in that corner and endured a little shudder.

I forgot just how bad the slope was until visiting yesterday. There must be a difference of nearly 2 meters In height from that corner to the other end of the field, though it's still one of the finest surfaces in British RL.

Was told the Batley players prefer playing uphill. Something about running downhill the body doesn't adjust to & more muscular injuries result.

That's because it has the finest drainage in British RL
