Here is some information in relation to some of the above pubs mentioned i.e. Ye old white hart, Hawkes bar, the lion & key and The Black Boy are the ones which are all in close proximity to each other. Right opposite Holy Trinity. Used to be Kings and for a while was The Purple Pig.

I called in a couple of weeks back, pretty good beer selection. Very much akin to the Headingley branch.

I have been in there on a couple of occasions with the wife and was pleasantly surprised how nice they have made it since the refurb, some nice beers on offer as well.

Well cheers, went to black boy and lion and key, fantastic both of them, especially l and k, 14 handpumos, and the quality was brilliant. Will be sure to return mext year when in SL (fingers crossed)

Glad you enjoyed it. As others have mentioned there are a number of good pubs around there.
