New Zealand Win Defensive Grind to Level Test Series After last weekends dominant win for Steve MacNamara's England over the New Zealand tourists, both sides and an eager crowd made their way to christen the Olympic Stadium with its first taste of rugby league. The England side were unchanged from last weeks victory but Stephen Kearney rang the changes with Kodi Nikorima coming into the half backs in place of Lolohea and Alex Glenn and Lewis Brown on the bench. A win for England would seal the series, their first in eight years, but a win for the Kiwis would take it down to the wire with the decider at the DW Stadium in Wigan next weekend. Half Backs aside, who were clueless yesterday like Stan says, my issue is with Hardaker, who has been a no show in both NZ tests to date from an attacking perspective. Hardly ever does a link up play by joining the attack or helping out the three-quarters.

He looks ill at ease in an England shirt; he looks uncomfortable with McNamara's non-existent and negative gameplan; he is not taking his chance at all in the absence of ST.

Ryan Hall and Kallum Watkins on the other hand have offered much more but have been well marshalled by the NZ defence , especially the latter.

Yesterday's duffers were the other 3 w**kers with a capital W - Whitehead, Widdop and Williams. I'd drop all 3 for the final test.
