Jeff, you will need to run this in Windows XP mode. I'm not on a Vista \ Windows 7 machine at the moment so it may not be the correct steps to take, but try this;
Right click the icon and go down to properties. Then click on the compatibility tab.
There should be a setting in there to run the programme in Windows XP mode.
