Visit //www.geofflee.net for details of my novels 'One Winter', 'One Spring', 'One Summer' 'One Autumn' 'Two Seasons'. and "Three Good Years" All six feature Rugby League against a humourous Lancashire/Yorkshire background and are inspired by the old saying about work: "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller."

In League Express a couple of weeks ago, there was a letter from me about how the mental health of players may suffer when they retire from playing the game, when referees retire from refereeing the game and when supporters generally grow older. My suggestion to help stop this happening or at least slow it down is to spend time writing a novel based on such things as your own life, family and family history, employment, friends, home town history and your rugby league connections and involvement.
Many people who I have said this to have said that this seemed a good idea but that they would not know how to do it. For the benefit of such people I have also written three pages of advice. I am in a good position to do this because since starting to write my first novel "One Winter" in 1988, I have now written half a million words in six novels in a series that runs from 1962 to 2005. If you would like me to send you these sheets just E Mail me at wgeofflee@gmail.com. and request Geoff's RL Writing Advice But if you prefer to read one
of my novels first or think that it would make a Christmas present for someone you know I suggest that you read "Three Good Years". E Mail London League Publications at http://www.llpshop.co.uk. Click on Books and then on Fiction.
