So you start off playing for fun...hit a few points....sign Ryan Hall et al at the right time of year and end up coasting along quite nicely, thank you very much..

You then hit the top of your teams league and start to show up in the top ten overall and then you suddenly find yourself screaming at the screen during matches you would normally have little or no interest in because player A didn't pass it to your man, even though you know in your heart of hearts that he's made the right move really as he scores under the posts, but you still can't help but take the loss of that four points anything but personally.

Then with just a few weeks of the season left you find yourself second in the overall table and so far ahead in the individual team league that you can't see anyone getting close. By now you have saved at least 17 sources of Rugby league team news to your favourites tab, you follow each piece of gossip, rumour and line written. You even spend Friday reading the random ramblkings of RLfans Forum members who might be in the know as to whether Harlequins will do well this week or whether Cas are going to use a new kicker.

You persuade yourself that the honour of table topping will be enough but then you can't help telling people with no interest at all about your feats so far and what do they say in return, well they always reply what's the prize and at that point you realise that you don't have a clue.

I'd be very grateful if someone could let me know if I win anything for this gargantuan effort?

Anyone with a good whisper on teams for this week, let me know.

There is really, but only for whoever tops the overall league, which is 2 top seats to the SL GF. Tradition has always been that you magnanimously declare that the honour of topping the table is enough and donate the 2 tickets to myself.

So I take it that no whip round is organised amongst Wigan fans to provide their runaway Fantasy League Leader with a prize for taking the spoils?

If not can I suggest that we all throw in a pound, winner takes all?
