i'll be going if its on. trying to get a few people down but it'll be even harder to convince given the weather.
i played footy on the all-weather pitch at fylde on monday and all the walkways were closed off around the pitch due to the ice - and it really was like an ice rink before the snow fell. obviously it has snowed a lot since then which will have just sat on top of the ice, but at that time the pitch itself didn't look too frozen but was a bit muddy and soggy so potentially froze overnight before the snow came in. the sun has been on it pretty unobstructed for the last two days but i don't know if they cleared any snow away to get it shining on the pitch.
the roads aren't too bad round there because the buses have been going that way rather than through ansdell as far as i understand so that shouldn't cause too much issue although there were a couple of accidents earlier in the week on skew bridge, but pavements are slippy.
hopeful more than optimistic
