I have to say I'm very surprised that there has been no mention about the referees performance on Sunday, I know Donny won but for me that ref did everything he could to give barrow a chance in the game, not to mention all the shifthousing
in tackles/ruck that he turned a blind eye to.
I've never seen a ref over-rule a linesman in a game, let alone twice. Both linesman were in far better position than the ref but he chose to ignore them, the first one for the drop out the ref could have been correct as it was down the other end from where I was sat, but the 2nd one was totally incorrect, calling a dons knock on when the only touch from them was the kick through before the Barrow player clearly knocked on on the deck, this was right in front of us.
The inconsistent application of the 6 again rule and his interpretation of a high tackle was pretty laughable. Anyway a great team performance got the win so in the end his performance didn't effect the result.
Looking forward to this weekends game and hopefully a similar result/performance
