Well played Barrow. They dug in with ten men and beat us in the second half as well as the fiirst.

The game confirmed we still have defensive frailties that need to be addressed.

Barrow will be tough to catch but we can't give them a free pass to the title. They've got to play at Workington and at the Keepmoat so they could drop four points there.

If we want to win the league though, we probably can't afford to lose another game; maybe one at the most.

Well , best side won . We were doing well upto 30 mins.

Misi was unlucky with the 1st try .
At 19-6 when Tom went down the line thought we might push them, a good tackle by the Barrow player .

Misi wasn't unlucky. Poor control. Also disgraceful attitude from Tom after losing the ball.

Given what was seen today DM we will not beat them at the Keepmoat. They are strong and effective, we could not match their power and their halves were better than ours.. It would take a damn good 17 man effort to achieve it. I'm not saying its impossible but on todays showing, unlikely.

I have no doubt it will be hugely tasty when they go to Derwent Park.

I agree Wilf. Much the better side but far too many individually poor performances. I'm allowed to say that yeah?
I mean folk get tetchy when anything negative is said but I see this as a chance to improve. Let's bring Rickett, Fella etc in and see what they can do! Hell, maybe Boas!!

A fit Watson on the Keepmoat is a game changer for me. It took a piece of individual flair to get Barrow on the score line (Misi was unlucky with dealing with a greasy ball) and with Watson at least on the bench it gives us that bit of something out of the ordinary.

We were not at the races today really and fell short of expectations but credit to the opposition for that. It could have been a lot worse if they had not lost Dalimore to the sending off. I'm pretty sure there was no intention on his behalf it was just poor technique.

Rob, you and I don't always agree on everything but I agree, throwing your arms in the air and turning your back on the ball is pretty unacceptable.

I'm sure that he will be pinged for that by the Coach and he may not even see the bench for a while.

I mentioned earlier in this thread about no game next weekend and I hope it gives us that freshen up, because on todays showing we need it.

I agree. The Friday game at Skolars is a must win. Mentally I think the lads need a rest. It's been intense. The run of away games will have taken its toll.
