I'm curious as to what seasons they mean.

If they are using 2020 or not and also whether or not you have to be in the top 4 for both seasons. It is not very clear who our opposition is for this.

You have to have finished in the top 4 in either 2018 or 2019 & an attendance of 750 or above in the past 2 years requirements on financial turnover as well

Stitched on for Newcastle IMO ( I feel that they have friends in the right places and its in the North East, blah blah blah) We will have to scrap it out the conventional way.

The only eligible clubs are Doncaster, Newcastle, Workington, Barrow and Rochdale

But as Wilf says, think Newcastle are nailed on.

I ran a poll on this on the facebook and it was quite mixed whether people wanted to go up via this way at all

Personally, I cant see past Newcastle.
They have all the attributes to be successful in the Championship , Money , Stadium, Location and development.
Much as i would like to see us promoted i think unless substantial investment is injected into the club quickly then i fear a season of defeats and dejection.
With Club Doncaster making a large number of staff redundant and the Watson family walking away, i don't see it as a priority to invest heavily in the squad at this time.

I would rather we won promotion on our own merits like we did previously.
I'm sure the club is only applying as they already know the outcome.

All the home league fixtures in 2019 & 2018 at Barrow were played with attendances above 750
Newcastle had 7 home games in 2019 with attendances above 750 & they also had 7 games with crowds above 750 in 2018
Workington 2019 had 9 home games with crowds above 750 & 4 games in 2018 with crowds above 750
Doncaster 2019 had 2 home games with crowds above 750 & 4 games in 2018 with crowds above 750
Rochdale 2019 had 4 home games with crowds above 750 & 1 fixture in 2018 with crowds above 750

I really don't like the idea of any promotion/relegation being decided off the field. I understand these are exceptional circumstances though.

I'd be amazed if Newcastle don't get the place.
