I don't remember him being attacked while he was at Runcorn and I was a regular supporter until they left for St Helens.

Racism?!

I've seen the video and I can't see anyone who's an ethnic minority. Sounds like a very poor attempt at blame shifting to me!!

Very poor indeed. I've heard racist comments at several places in recent years, but never from Doncaster supporters.

Keepmoat Statement.

http://www.keepmoatstadium.co.uk/news/page.php?id=32

Statement re Dons Match

Shane Chalmers, General Manager of the Keepmoat Stadium said: “The Dons challenge cup game against Queens ARLFC was called off due to crowd trouble (March 7 2009).

“Rugby prides itself as being a family sport and such instances are very rare.

“The CCTV footage was immediately made available to the Police who took this away for evidence gathering on those involved in the incident. A joint meeting has been called to discuss the incident and we will work with the Dons and Police to ban fans involved and in this type of incident from future matches.

“The stadium was properly staffed and took action by the book including contacting the police and as such we are pleased with the way our staff handled the situation.

Dave Marshall, CEO of the Doncaster Dons said: “We are working in partnership with the SMC and working closely with the police to investigate this incident. The SMC did everything possible to prevent this incident and were in contact with the police at all times.

I believe the incident being referred to happened in a Doncaster v Runcorn fixture at Tattersfield (but time does play tricks). IIRC it was really more a slap than an attack (not that it makes it any less wrong).

A mysterious location in Yorkshire!

Sing a song of Yorkshire, from the Humber to the Tees
Of cricket, rugby, beer, of pudding and of cheese
I know no other county where the land is quite so fine
England's lovely county. And I'm proud to call it mine

Where shining purple heather stretches far across the moor
And the lapwing's cry above me takes the place of traffic roar
And peace comes drifting gently, there's no place I'd rather be
Than this land of hills and valleys, from the Pennines to the sea

So when I've done my roaming, and when my step grows slow
When heart and mind assure me that the time has come to go
Then let me rest in Yorkshire, for its there I want to lie
'Neath sun and wind and heather... and a gleaming Yorkshire sky

Anyone know why the Queens player was given the yellow card following the touch judge going on to the field to speake to the ref just before the game was stopped? Reported in league express as "dissent" but wonder what was said.

The yellow card incidents were:

40min - Queens 12 - Persistant High Tackle (3rd offence)
54mins - Queens 15 - Dissent

Has anyone got the line outs for both teams? I have been unable to find them anywhere.

Thanks

there's alot of rubbish going around in this thread isn't there.

If queens do get thrown out of the competition like a lot of you are saying the surely doncaster should be too. the queens fans wasn't fighting themselves.
