Finally seen the light.... : Thu Aug 05, 2021 11:02 am
I am done for this season....
Will not attend another game.

I like watching the Dons, I like the supporters.
We got a nice little bunch of recruits this season, but I just do not like the way the club is run.
I like Carl, I like him a lot but I am not sure he has sorted the coach out to engage with the fans as a proper coach should.
I would personally tell Horne to do it the Dons way or ship out.
That includes being visible, not aloof in the opposite stand and bringing insight to his interviews not just a resume of what happened in any particular game.
We SAW what happened...we want to know WHY!

There is no feeling of being part of something...so we could be watching any old team, whereas we once were the Don's extra man.
A handful of away supporters can easily out-enthuse our fans..as Hunslet demonstrated.
I used to be hoarse after games singing 'Come on you Dons', not so now.
A function of growing old possibly but I am still keen as mustard for a good Dons side.

Anyway could go on and am aware posts like this only meet derision and nasty comments.
So I wish the Dons the very best this season and really hope that they get promoted.
But I have had enough of this set up...it is so wrong IMHO
Should we change I will be back....

Can't argue with that at all Brian. We will be down for the remainder of the games which will be interesting to see if this side like the others of RH's tenure have imploded.

It is a shame when any fan makes a decision like Brian has made .

I felt very low after Sundays game , we also have the communication problem .

It's incredibly sad when stalwarts like Brian feel as though they can no longer support the club. As Weighman mentioned, communications on the things fans want to know about is poor, the result is that people don't feel connected to the club, and that drives people away.

I hope you're back next season, Brian.

Interesting thread over on the other channel, not about the Dons but the game in general and in light of SO's comments I thought it was apt.

Plenty of interesting points raised on the other thread, Wilf. Thanks for the link.

The game seems to take fans for granted, assuming the loyal ones will stay loyal. The people at the top need to realise everyone's patience runs out eventually. The uncertainty around constant restructurings gives no one confidence the RFL is on top of the problems facing the game.

And as the other thread discussed, will there even be a League One next season? Such a fear is hardly likely to drive owners and potential sponsors to put the hands in their pocket.
