Cas game : Wed May 21, 2014 10:10 am
Huge test for us, they've been one of the form sides in the comp and at home have been superb. We have however been (probably) the two surprise packages of the season so far and most would have had the likes of Warrington, perhaps Hull and maybe Salford above us at this stage pre-season.

A game too far given the players we've lost to injury? Or are we playing a brand of rugby that doesn't rely on individuals but the team performance?

Should be an excellent game.

Looking forward to this game. It should be a great match contested by 2 very well coached and evenly matched sides. Betts and Powell will both be short-listed for Coach of the Year IMO.

I can't believe this game isn't on Sky this weekend to be honest.

Yes shame it's not, think they've recognised that by the reverse fixture in July now being televised. Are Cas at full strength? Widnes could be struggling for a scrum half unless Gore is fit.

Not heard of any injuries from the magic weekend AJ Viking.

We should have a very strong squad out.

Is that your only injury concern the half back position or is there more out.

Should be a decent game.

No Jon Clarke is a doubt, we've had some players missing for a while to be honest and to our credit not let it affect us too much. Joe Mellor still out who prior to his injury was playing better than Kev Brown. Ah Van hardly featured, Phelps has been missing as has Danny Galea, whose work rate has really impressed me. We're slowly getting a few back but the so called 'fringe players' have done us proud.

I think we are all looking forward to this one, like ourselves Widnes have also had a great season so far and the league table doesn't lie after 12/13 games.
I think we'll have 2 sides playing an open game which should make it entertaining.
I fancy us to win on Sunday with home advantage (providing we play really well again) anything less and we could easily get turned over.
The extra few days off certainly helped recharge the players batteries for magic weekend and we looked very sharp again.
Credit goes to both coaches for the way Widnes and Cas have gone about their business this year.

Both us and you are going very well so far this season and I love it.

Its great to see the style of rugby both teams are playing and should make for an entertaining game.

Betts and Powell head and shoulders above any other for coach of the year.

Be a great game but i can only see Castleford winning. We have had a few injuries this year with players in and out. I think Ah Van, Phelps, Mellor, Craven, Clarke, Cahill,O Carroll, Galea and Gore not fully fit. Looking forward to seeing Mellor and Brown playing in a partnership again. May the best team win, and i think Castleford top 4 unless get some injuries to key players. :thumb:

Love a brew.

Re: Cas game : Thu May 22, 2014 2:22 pm
Cas will be very tough especially at the mend a hose jungle thingymebob  could do with Galea back for this one and Craven being fit. Widnes have surprised us all a few times this season so a win isn't beyond us.

Should be a good one and good to see both sides ripping it up this season, long may it continue.

Re: Cas game : Thu May 22, 2014 4:03 pm
Cas will be clear favourites however if we beat them don't we go on the the same points as them? To have Cas and Widnes in the top 8 at the end of the year would be a great achievement. Two hard working and to me very similar clubs with good youth setup and a town that bursts with rugby league pride

Always enjoyed my trips to (the jungle) and hoping for a win

With Brown in the best form of his life, he could be our difference
