Some of us prefer a cold, silky smooth pint of continental lager rather than a pungent, coloured, sulphur smelling ransid, "Ale" or Bitter that the brewer probably farted in to add flavour!!!!....









How anyone can drink that sort of rubbish is beyond me !!!

Not been in there myself but it looks nice. There's a new bar/club/function opening in the summer aswell in the old Town hall i think. The one situated between the view bar and reef?

There are indeed very nice european lagers available, however they are generally not on tap. I wouldn't count Carlsberg as one.

You're talking about lagers like Erdinger or Leffe. If you like a proper lager, the Ship and Mitre is the place as they have several on draught.

Had a pint of Cains lager in Dr Duncans once, ain't half fizzy that stuff. Farting like a trooper. Nice though Doc.

Just depends on your taste and why your drinking it. Most people go to these places to be sociable nowadays, the quality of the beer isn't the important thing as long as it isn't flat.



That said I do prefer old man beer.

The Pilsner is nice. The double bock isn't too bad either, but at 8% it's not something you could drink all night, unless you're WC Fields or Dean Martin.
